The Machine Shop & Facility Coordinator will be the one to lead NordSpace's efforts to ensure all our facilities are operating efficiently, safely, and are in good condition. This includes our main manufacturing facility, our engine test facility, and our spaceport. From welding simple structures and keeping facilities clean and organized, to manufacturing aerospace components and removing snow in the winters from our engine test facility, no job should be considered too small for you.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in shop and/or facility management
  • Experience designing and building challenging components, ideally with a portfolio of personal projects
  • Significant experience with fabricating systems with machining tools, welders and materials such as metal tubes and sheets, carbon fiber, and plastics
  • Significant knowledge of and deep passion for the space industry at large
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct independent research
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills

This is a full-time in-person role at our head office in Markham
