The RoleThis position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and safe environment by providing frontline reception and confidential administrative support to diverse clients, including individuals who may be experiencing stress, mental health needs, or difficult life circumstances. The role involves respectful communication, accurate information-sharing, and maintaining sensitive records while upholding dignity, privacy, and cultural awareness. By ensuring clients feel heard, supported, and treated fairly, this position helps foster inclusive and trauma-informed service delivery for all members of the community. Qualifications:Education and Experience RequirementsSecondary School graduation and 6 months of related experience working in a clerical, secretarial, receptionist or administrative support role; ORAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Minimum of 30 words per minute (WPM) in keyboarding.Preference may be given to applicants with:More than 6 months of related experience working in a clerical, secretarial, receptionist or administrative support role.Successful completion of a post-secondary certificate, program or course in office administration.Experience working in an office setting providing services within the Justice System (Court Services, Correctional Centre, BC Prosecution Services, Youth Justice, legal office, justice focused non-profit).A valid Class 5 B.C. driver's license without restrictions or an equivalent Canadian driver's license.
