As the Communications Manager, based in Sydney, you will report to the Senior Director Corporate Communications and work closely with the rest of the Marketing and Corporate Communications team as well as other teams across APJ, making your mark in a number of ways:
- You will be the key driver for internal communications at AirTrunk.
- You will help to raise AirTrunk's profile by managing high-impact external communication plans and campaigns.
- You will prepare effective communications and content, tailored to specific platforms and audiences, and aligned to AirTrunk's positioning and messaging.
Your Day to Day
Internal Communications
Developing engaging communications programs for AirTrunk's rapidly expanding employee base including:
- Drive internal communications strategies that engage and inspire employees, strengthen culture, and embed company values and KPIs.
- Develop and manage the execution and cadence of AirTrunk's internal communications plan, platforms and activities including all-staff meetings, intranet, social media, newsletters and all staff notes.
- Act as an adviser for leadership and functional teams on internal communications including change communications.
Media and external communications
- Manage end-to-end execution of announcements and media engagements.
- Support members of the wider Corporate Communications team in the development and execution of proactive and reactive media engagements.
- Support AirTrunk spokespeople in the assessment, preparation and post event amplification of speaking opportunities.
- Manage the media monitoring service and set and achieve performance metrics.
- Stay across key industry publications, trends and issues, identifying and sharing opportunities and potential risks and developing appropriate strategies to address them.
Content and copywriting
- Develop engaging and informative communications and content assets (including social media posts, media releases, award entries and speeches on a range of topics).
Strategy and business partnering
- Maintain and update AirTrunk's house messages.
- Maintain communications calendar and runway.
- Manage inbound approaches to the Corporate Communications team.
- Ensure compliance of communications activities across the business, including adherence to approvals process.
Other communications support
- Support other projects and activities as required
Requirements
- You have 6 years' experience in communications, predominantly public relations either in-house or PR agency.
- You have relevant tertiary education.
- Wider APAC experience would be beneficial.
- You have proven experience working on successful major PR campaigns and across APJ and understand the cultural nuances across the region.
- Ideally, you have experience in technology, data centres or commercial real estate.
- You have experience in securing and managing corporate speaking opportunities and award programs.
- You excel at distilling complex information into clear, concise, and easy to understand messaging and you are a creative communicator and master of storytelling.
- You have strong attention to detail, ensuring consistency across materials.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel and ideally, Meltwater, and LinkedIn company page management.
