About the Role

The Township is seeking applicants to fill the full-time permanent position of Operations Technical Services Supervisor. Reporting to the Manager, Operations, the Operations Technical Services Supervisor is responsible for developing and ensuring compliance with various technical aspects of transportation operations with a focus on contractor management, budget management, route planning and project management. The role is also responsible for the data management flow of short-term and long-term maintenance and asset management strategies for roads, drainage, traffic, and fleet assets.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate must have a College Diploma in Civil Engineering, Environmental Technology, Public Administration or related discipline combined with a minimum of 3-5 years direct experience in municipal maintenance operations. Relevant technical trade training will also be considered as will a combination of relevant education and work experience. Certified Roads Supervisor (CRS) designation is an asset, ability and willingness to obtain if not currently held. The successful applicant must have thorough knowledge of Municipal Government operations, Municipal Act, Maintenance Regulations, and intergovernmental liaisons. This role requires a high level of leadership and project management skills, including the ability to work with diverse teams; a certificate in Business Process Management, or a Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation is considered an asset. A valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's License and a satisfactory Driver's Abstract and Criminal Record Check are also required for this role.
