Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Bilingual Human Resources Generalist to ensure HR compliance and manage employee relations across Canada. This is a remote position supporting Canadian operations primarily focused on compliance, accounting for 80% of the responsibilities, with additional duties in HR policy development and employee relations. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills, bilingual in English and French, and experienced in navigating multi-jurisdictional HR regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review and update HR policies and processes to ensure compliance with Canadian federal and provincial laws.
- Provide support for employee relations and investigations.
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures (in both English and French).
- Provide guidance on regulatory compliance, employee relations, and HR best practices.
- Support and manage compliance programs including Pay Equity (Quebec, Ontario, BC), Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), Federal Contractor Program, and the Francisation Program (Quebec).
- Conduct investigations, performance improvement planning, and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Payroll, Legal, and US-based HR Business Partners.
- Utilize Workday for HRIS and documentation processes.
- Assist with HR support during mergers and acquisitions in Canada.
Essential Skills
- 5–7+ years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a compliance-heavy role.
- Bilingual in English and French (written and verbal) - testing required.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience with HRIS systems, Workday preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in any field.

- HR certification (CPHR/ORHRI) is a plus, but not required.
Work Environment
This role operates Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, and is fully remote. Candidates based in Vancouver are strongly preferred, but those in Quebec or Ontario are also welcome. If located in Vancouver, you may be asked to visit the office when the manager is in town, approximately 1-2 times yearly.

The pay range for this position is $ $45.00/hr.
