Position Type: Independent Contractor

Travel Required: We are seeking a CDA who is able to travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area for in-home therapy sessions.

About Us

We are a client-centered speech therapy practice providing high-quality, evidence-based communication services across the Greater Toronto Area. We offer in-home and virtual therapy to children and adults, and we are seeking a dedicated Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) to join our team as an independent contractor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home speech-language therapy throughout the GTA under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Implement individualized treatment plans, including experience supporting adult clients
  • Accurately document sessions and submit notes/reports using Jane, our practice management platform
  • Maintain professional communication with clients, families, and supervising SLPs
  • Travel between client homes within the GTA
  • Participate in virtual or in-person team meetings as needed

Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized Communicative Disorders Assistant program
  • Current membership with CDAAC (Communicative Disorders Assistant Association of Canada)
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience, including experience with adults
  • Valid G driver's licence
  • Reliable personal vehicle for in-home therapy travel
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently while following SLP supervision

Required Before Start

  • Vulnerable Sector Check (current within the last 12 months)
  • Professional Liability Insurance (contractor must obtain and maintain their own coverage)

Contract Details

  • Flexible scheduling based on your availability
  • Competitive contractor rates
  • Contractor is responsible for managing their own schedule, invoicing, and taxes
  • Opportunity to build a consistent caseload
  • Some therapy materials may be provided, but contractor is expected to supply their own basic therapy tools
