Langenburg SK, Canada Aberhart Farms Inc. Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Chief Operating Officer - Aberhart Farms

Part of the Aberhart Group Leadership Team

Langenburg, Saskatchewan

At Aberhart Group, our purpose is Growing Together.

We foster partnerships in agriculture to create a brighter future - growing people, communities, and meaningful opportunities across everything we do.

Our values guide how we work and lead:

  • Doing what you love with people you love.
  • Creative collaboration for the greater good.
  • Maximizing potential in ourselves and others.
  • Embracing change and innovation.
  • Building strong communities and families.

Aberhart Farms is the foundation of the Aberhart Group - where innovation meets stewardship, and where data, people, and purpose come together to grow abundance.

We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer to lead Aberhart Farms, working as part of the Aberhart Group leadership team to turn our shared vision into reality.

You bring leadership experience in agriculture or agribusiness and are passionate about building teams and systems that grow people and performance.

What You'll Get

An opportunity to lead one of Canada's most forward-thinking farm operations where technology, sustainability, and purpose are at the center of every decision.

A place where you can do meaningful work with people who care deeply about what they do and who they do it with.

The chance to be part of a leadership team shaping the next chapter of the Aberhart Group, aligning farming excellence with innovation, education, and sustainability.

Freedom to lead with trust, backed by clear systems, support, and purpose.

Competitive compensation, performance incentives, and future leadership growth within the Aberhart Group.

Compensation is designed to reward experience, contribution, and results.

What You'll Do

Lead and empower the farm team to achieve operational excellence through clarity, accountability, and collaboration.

Drive performance and consistency - set clear plans, manage timelines, and ensure operational and financial targets are met.

Turn data into intelligence - connect agronomic, equipment, and financial performance through platforms like JD Operations Center, Harvest Profit, and AgExpert.

Develop people and structure - coach, mentor, and ensure the right people are in the right seats, with clear roles, scorecards, and metrics.

Build strong systems and rhythms through EOS tools such as Rocks, Scorecards, and L10s, creating a culture of accountability and follow-through.

Champion innovation - integrate technology and sustainability practices that improve efficiency, profitability, and impact.

Bring ideas to life through people, process, and precision.

Work closely with the Aberhart Group leadership team to align strategy and execution across the organization.

Ideal Fit & Success Criteria

You're a pragmatic, grounded leader who thrives on clarity, structure, and results, energized by turning complex systems into consistent performance.

You see farming as a blend of people, data, and purpose, and you balance accountability with empathy.

Your strengths include:

  • Financial fluency - you understand how metrics drive profitability and sustainability.
  • Process discipline - you lead through systems, check-ins, and clear communication.
  • Data-minded decision-making - you connect agronomic, equipment, and financial insights.
  • People leadership - you develop others through coaching, feedback, and trust.
  • Calm execution - you focus and deliver, even when things get busy.
  • Innovation mindset - you seek better ways and embrace technology thoughtfully.

Your success will be measured by:

  • Operational efficiency and execution against plan.
  • Profitability and cost management per acre.
  • Team clarity and engagement (Right People, Right Seats).
  • Data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Implementation and ownership of EOS tools and rhythms.
  • Strategic projects completed on time and within scope.

Why It Matters

Aberhart Farms is the heart of a larger vision. It represents what's possible when values, purpose, and innovation work together.

By leading Aberhart Farms with excellence, you'll help shape how the Aberhart Group continues to grow people, partnerships, and agriculture's future.

If you believe in agriculture as a force for good and are ready to help lead a purpose-driven farming organization into its next chapter of growth, we'd love to hear from you.
