Job description

We are currently looking for a Research Associate/Clinical Study Coordinator.

The duties shall include, but are not limited to, a person who will participate in research activities, design and write research protocols, research grants, and be involved in manuscript preparation.

The position also requires a person who is willing to participate in conducting clinical trials for new medications in the treatment of anxiety and related disorders, complete various research administrative duties, as well as participate as a full member of the clinical team in the implementation of a wide variety of clinical research and any other duties as assigned.

We require a person who is familiar with, or is willing to learn about:

1) reviewing and summarizing medical/psychiatric literature on a variety of topics

2) conducting standardized screening and assessment interviews using a variety of standardized assessment instruments (such as, SCID, ADIS, MINI)

3) maintaining comprehensive and accurate patient records in the conduct of clinical trials

4) managing several ongoing research projects, including the activities of part-time employees and volunteers

5) managing the process by which studies receive ethical approval from the university and hospital

6) interacting with physicians, nurses other health care providers, representatives of various pharmaceutical companies, and other agencies in an efficient and professional manner

7) able to use medical search engines (PubMed, Medline, Psychlit, etc.) and perform literature searches

8) assisting in data collection and data entry for a variety of projects

9) able and willing to work flexible hours

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED

The ideal candidate is an intelligent, dynamic, energetic, outgoing and ambitious person with at least a B.A. or B.Sc. who would like to gain a year of practical research experience prior to pursuing graduate studies or professional school.

The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work independently and be part of a multidisciplinary team.

This position will provide an excellent opportunity to participate fully in the design, implementation, and publication of clinical research in a university hospital setting.

Remuneration will be based on experience. This position will start at the end of July, 2025.
