Reporting to the Senior Manager, Trade and Growth Programs, the
Coordinator, Trade and Growth Programs
plays a pivotal role in delivering the World Trade Centre Toronto's suite of trade and growth initiatives across Ontario and Canada.
This role is ideal for someone who has firsthand experience helping businesses expand internationally—whether through market development, export readiness, or go-to-market execution—and who is eager to help Canadian firms scale globally through structured programming and direct client support.
You'll combine operational excellence with commercial acumen—supporting program logistics, managing partner relationships, and contributing insights from your own experience in international business development.
Role Description:
- Lead and oversee the coordination, administration, and delivery of Trade and Growth Programs across Ontario and nationally, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Bring market-building perspective to program delivery by sharing practical insights from your experience in international sales, GTM strategy, or export development.
- Support participant companies by guiding them through program activities, connecting them to resources, and offering insights into international market entry, channel development, or partnership building.
- Liaise with program sponsors, facilitators, and ecosystem partners across Canada to coordinate program implementation and ensure a consistent participant experience.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote programs, alumni success stories, and key trade initiatives.
- Lead recruitment and enrollment efforts for participating companies, leveraging networks and outreach to attract firms with international growth potential.
- Manage the Learning Management System (Disco) to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and follow-up on participant engagement and outcomes.
- Collect, analyze, and report on program data, including intake metrics, post-program surveys, and export success stories.
- Contribute to impact storytelling through testimonials and case studies showcasing participating companies' international growth.
- Represent WTC-T and its programs at business development events, trade shows, and international delegations.
Your experience includes:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in international business, trade development, or market expansion, ideally working directly with SMEs.
- Proven track record supporting or leading go-to-market initiatives, such as distributor development, export sales, or international partnerships.
- Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities SMEs face in international markets, and ability to translate that understanding into actionable support.
- Demonstrated ability and interest in identifying use cases where AI can drive improvement of performance and efficiency
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects and relationships across multiple regions or stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to balance administrative precision and strategic insight.
- Computer fluency across MS Office; familiarity with CRM, LMS, and data tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL) is an asset.
- Strong analytical mindset and comfort with using data to measure program impact and inform strategy.
- Fluency in English required;
- Previous experience in a role that involved regular international interaction is preferred.
