Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and engaging
Biology Instructor
to lead enrichment and experimental classes for middle and high school students. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity in the life sciences through hands-on learning, interactive experiments, and creative teaching methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach biology-themed enrichment courses such as experimental biology, life science foundations, and scientific inquiry.
  • Design and conduct safe, engaging laboratory and classroom activities.
  • Prepare lesson materials, experiment guides, and supplementary handouts based on student levels.
  • Mentor students in science fairs, research projects, or competitions (e.g., HOSA, local science contests).
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to both students and parents.
  • Collaborate with the academic team to enhance curriculum design and teaching quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in
    Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field
    (Master's or PhD preferred).
  • Previous experience teaching or mentoring youth in science programs or AP Biology is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of basic lab techniques and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Patient, responsible, and able to create engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences.
