Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ECE educator to join our team, committed to fostering a positive learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children, and possess a strong background in early childhood education. Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Support children with activities and providing personalized care
  • Foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth through interactive activities and positive reinforcement
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and caregivers to ensure each child's needs are met
  • Observe and document children's progress, providing feedback to families and team members
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom to ensure safety and accessibility
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices

Requirements

  • Hold a valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate issued by the BC ECE Registry
  • Completion of a recognized ECE training program from an approved institution
  • Criminal Record Check (CRRP) clearance
  • Hold a valid Child Care First Aid & CPR Level B certification
  • Provide immunization record status
  • Provide 3 strong reference
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of child development and the BC Early Learning Framework
  • Ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities
  • Demonstrate professional communication skills with children, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
  • Follow all Child Care Licensing Regulations and center policies
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct at all times
  • Must be physically and emotionally capable of supporting children in a busy childcare setting
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
