Our team is on a mission to further enable Canadian Thermal Development and Production teams by implementing advanced data and analytics solutions, with a strong focus on generative AI technologies. We are seeking a student interested in exploring how Cenovus leverages state-of-the-art generative AI to empower teams and drive innovation in data solutions.

What You'll Do
- Design and development of data solutions with a focus on generative AI technologies
- Integrating generative AI models and applications to address business challenges and automate insights
- Direct engagement with team members and stakeholders in the ownership of generative AI-driven data solutions
- Managing personal workload and communications with stakeholders
Who You Are
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
- Available to begin work in January 2026
- Curiosity and continuous desire for learning
- Team collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Problem isolation and resolution
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge/experience with Python, SQL, Databricks, LangChain, and/or LangGraph is considered an asset

Education
- Must be enrolled in a Software Engineering / Data Science Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
- Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
- New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
