Drive Financial Insight with a Real estate Investment company and shape the Performance of a Diverse Hotel Portfolio

Your New Employer

Our client is a national hospitality organization with a portfolio of hotels across Canada. Known for their entrepreneurial culture, disciplined investment approach, and commitment to operational excellence, the company focuses on identifying underperforming assets and transforming them into sustainable, high-performing investments. The business operates within a lean, collaborative structure that values curiosity, accountability, and partnership. With a strong balance sheet, an experienced leadership team, and a mandate for continued growth, this organization offers an exciting environment for finance professionals seeking visibility, influence, and career advancement within a dynamic and evolving industry.

Your New Role

As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting portfolio performance, driving strategic decision-making, and ensuring financial excellence across the organization's hotel assets. Working as a trusted partner to both finance and operations, you will lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, prepare and analyze financial and performance reports, and provide insights that directly influence operational and investment outcomes. You will deliver variance and trend analysis, identify key performance drivers, and develop tools and dashboards to enhance reporting efficiency and data accuracy. In addition, you will contribute to investment evaluations, build financial models for acquisitions and development projects, and support special initiatives designed to strengthen portfolio returns. This is a hands-on, analytical role suited to someone who enjoys combining data analysis with strategic impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What Sets You Apart

You are a proactive, detail-oriented finance professional who takes initiative and thrives on problem-solving. You are actively pursuing your CPA designation or have completed it and have three to seven years of progressive experience in an analytical role where you have focused on financial reporting and analytical operational activities to drive strategic investment decisions, ideally within hospitality, real estate, or another asset-focused industry. You are highly proficient in Excel, have experience with large ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, SAP, or Yardi, and are proficient with BI tools such as Power BI.  You combine analytical rigour with business acumen, and you are confident in communicating insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders. Above all, you are collaborative, organized, and motivated to contribute to an ambitious and supportive finance team.

What You Can Expect

This is a highly visible opportunity where your analytical insights will directly inform leadership decisions and portfolio strategy. You will join a company that values curiosity, precision, and initiative, offering a platform for professional growth and exposure to both corporate and operational finance. The organization provides a competitive compensation and benefits package, professional development support, and a culture that emphasizes collaboration, trust, and continuous improvement. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Halifax.
