As the Manager, Enterprise Architecture for the Calgary Police Service (CPS), you will lead and govern the organization's enterprise-wide architecture strategy with a specialized focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI). You will establish technology standards, ensure alignment with business objectives, and oversee the design and implementation of AI-enabled solutions that support strategic priorities. Primary duties include:

• Provide leadership to Solution Architects, implementing cohesive and future-ready solutions across the enterprise.
• Define, maintain, and lead CPS' enterprise architecture framework, including business, data, application, and technology domains.
• Develop and maintain CPS's AI strategy, policies, and practices to ensure alignment with the organization's goals, governance standards, and Enterprise Architecture framework.
• Lead the AI practice in delivering safe, secure, and trusted technologies that generate measurable business value.
• Responsible for the ethical AI principles through risk mitigation and compliance across all initiatives.
• Assess current technology capabilities and identify opportunities for modernization and innovation.
• Oversee the implementation of Architecture and AI solutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• A degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field and a minimum of 8 years directly related experience in technology architecture, solution design, and implementation, with a focus on digital transformation.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of experience driving innovation through the leadership and management of complex technical architecture initiatives is required.
• Previous experience in a public sector and/or law enforcement/criminal justice environment will also be considered an asset.
