Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor weather conditions and proactively address site safety during winter months.
  • Perform and coordinate winter site maintenance, including snow removal, sanding, and salting walkways, entrances, parking areas, and access routes.
  • Lead the winter operations team, assigning and overseeing daily tasks.
  • Operate Zoom Boom (telehandler) equipment to move, lift, and position materials around the job site.
  • Assist tradespeople with construction activities, including framing, material handling, site preparation, and clean-up.
  • Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment as required.
  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and team leads to complete assigned tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite at all times.
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and maintain clear communication with supervisors and project managers.

Skills

  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Proven ability to safely operate Zoom Boom / telehandler equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials (asset).

Qualifications (Required)

  • Valid Zoom Boom / Telehandler Operator Certification.
  • Previous construction or skilled labour experience.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Experience in snow removal or winter site maintenance (asset).
  • Leadership or team lead experience (preferred).
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with PPE requirements.
