The Administrative Assistant will be responsible to provide support across the Women's & Children's Health portfolio.  This role works in close collaboration with a dynamic leadership and administrative team in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to engage in a wide variety of exciting projects and initiatives as part of the core responsibilities of the position.

McMaster Children's Hospital (MCH), part of the Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) family of hospitals, is one of Canada's fasted growing Children's Hospitals as well as a provider of the most advanced Women's Reproductive Health Care.   We are an academic teaching center affiliated with McMaster University, and provide regional and provincial leadership in the provision of the highest quality, integrated maternal/newborn/child & youth health care.
The Ron Joyce Children's Health Centre (RJCHC) is an outpatient campus of MCH. The Autism Spectrum Disorders and the Ambulatory Child and Youth Mental Health Programs are delivered from this site.  McMaster Children's Hospital, located on the campus of McMaster University, is home our inpatient pediatric, newborn and women's health programs as well as many of our pediatric outpatient clinics.  It is also home to the RBC Child & Youth Mental Health Inpatient Unit.

1. Graduate of Community College Business Secretarial Program (Business Administration, Office Administration or equivalent) 
2. Minimum 2 years current related experience
3. Proficient keyboarding skills (60 wpm) 
4. Computer skills in Windows, MS Word, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, KRONOS, myHR, Budget Tool, and Taleo 
5. Experience with invoice management
6. Excellent transcription and minute-taking abilities 
7. Demonstrated excellence in effective communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and problem-solving skills 
8. Demonstrated ability to appreciate confidential nature of position
9. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment 
10. Ability to work on own demonstrating initiative, organization and establishment of priorities 
11. Demonstrated ability to meet project and task deadlines 
12. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with various hospital departments and regional stakeholders 
13. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning
