Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, providing exceptional support to both staff and clients. This position requires proficiency in various administrative tasks, including managing electronic medical records, handling multi-line phone systems, and maintaining a welcoming front desk environment. Experience in a dental or medical office setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily administrative operations, ensuring efficient workflow within the office.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing excellent customer service at the front desk.
  • Handle incoming calls through multi-line phone systems, directing inquiries to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient records using Dentrix and Epic systems.
  • Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Support billing processes and insurance verification as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with office policies and procedures.
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, faxing, and data entry.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a dental receptionist required.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare environment.
  • Proven administrative experience with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical records systems and general office equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a friendly demeanor towards patients and colleagues alike.
