Overview

Nats Glass is adding an Automotive Glass Technician to our team We are looking for someone with 5+ years experience who is motivated to grow with us.

This role involves installing, repairing, and replacing automotive glass with precision and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience working in dealership settings or automotive repair shops, possess mechanical knowledge, and be skilled using various hand and power tools.

This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, quality, and customer satisfaction are priority.

Duties

  • Remove and replace windshields and other automotive glass components efficiently and safely
  • Inspect vehicles for damage or defects related to glass installation or repair and document it accordingly
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques to handle glass components safely
  • Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards
  • Prepare vehicles for glass installation by cleaning surfaces and applying adhesives or sealants according to shop and manufacturer specifications
  • Determine if calibrations are required and execute them properly
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding repair timelines and procedures

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience or background in automotive glass repair is required
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with glass tools and products
  • Knowledge of calibration procedures
  • Ability to lift heavy glass components safely and efficiently
  • Experience with automotive glass repair processes is a plus
  • Mechanic experience is advantageous but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain a schedule and communicate with coworkers and clients
  • Valid driver's license is preferred for mobility between job sites (drivers abstract may be requested upon interview)
