Job Summary:

We are seeking a Front Desk Associate & Gym Floor Attendant to join our team The ideal candidate is outgoing, self-directed, has an eye for detail, loves working in a customer facing environment and is looking for long-term employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting gym visitors and guests upon entry
  • Answering the front desk telephone
  • Helping members with their questions and needs throughout their visit
  • Scanning membership cards and verifying members' identities
  • Providing tours of the facility, and selling memberships and drop-ins
  • Processing membership payments
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and the front-end area
  • Stocking and selling merchandise
  • Opening or closing the gym when scheduled accordingly
  • Monitoring the gym floor
  • Ensuring that members are using the equipment properly and safely, and not behaving in a way that violates the gym's terms of use or code of conduct
  • Helping to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the gym, including wiping down equipment that has been used and putting away weights that have been left out or stacked incorrectly
  • Performing cleaning duties around the facility, including bathrooms.
  • Restock the bathrooms as needed throughout the day
  • Taking out the garbage and recycling as needed

Requirements:

  • Must provide cover letter on application
  • High school Equivalency
  • Confident with computers, sales software and cash handling
  • Must be able to supply two references from previous employers
  • Must have own transportation or reasonably be able to take transit for required shifts
  • Must be able to stand and be on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly
  • Previous work experience in fitness industry (preferred)
