Markham, ON
area is looking for a
Plant Manager
for their facility.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily plant operations, production planning, and workflow efficiency.
- Manage fabrication processes including cutting, welding, machining, forming, and assembly.
- Ensure projects meet quality standards, timelines, and customer specifications.
- Lead and supervise 40–50 employees, including welders, fabricators, machine operators, and maintenance staff.
- Implement lean manufacturing, safety protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance.
- Optimize resource utilization—materials, manpower, and machinery.
- Track KPIs such as productivity, downtime, scrap rate, and on-time delivery.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams for smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- 7–10+ years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, machining, or related manufacturing.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with production planning, lean manufacturing, and quality standards.
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and high-volume production environments.
