Position Overview:
ACQBUILT is seeking a Mobile Crane / Boom Truck Operator to work in and around the Edmonton Area. As a member of the Logistics Department, the Mobile Crane / Boom Truck Operator is accountable and responsible for the safe operation of their equipment. They operate either a Grove TMS 500E, Manitex 40T or 50T in residential neighborhoods hoisting panels to build wood structured single family, row housing, or condo units.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
· Drive and operate mobile cranes or boom trucks.
· Ensure equipment is cared for and preventative maintenance schedules are followed.
· Maintain a legal Driver's logbook.
· Proper, legal load securement.
· Complete pre and post trip inspections and correct or report all defects immediately.
· Perform minor repairs, ensure equipment is greased properly.
· Adhere to all safety standards in the workplace.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
· Mobile Crane Journeyman ticket will consider 3rd and 4th year apprentices.
· Valid Class 1 Driver's license.
· Good communication skills.
· Teamwork oriented – ability to pitch in and work with the ground crews as required.
· Ability to work at heights.
· Problem solving skills.
· Construction knowledge and experience is an asset.
