Child Development Centre of Prince George and District is one of the largest and longest-serving child development charities in the Province of British Columbia. We currently help over 1000 children facing developmental challenges, including approximately one in six of the region's preschool children. Our mission is to support the growth and development of children to help them reach their full potential.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Speech Language Pathologist, located in Prince George, BC. The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders. Daily tasks include conducting therapy sessions, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals and families to ensure holistic care and support for the children. Additionally, the role may involve providing training and resources to parents and caregivers.
Qualifications
- Speech Therapy, Speech, and Dysphagia skills
- Experience in treating Communication and Language Disorders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with children and their families
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field
- Certification from a recognized professional organization (e.g., CASLPA)
- Experience in pediatric speech pathology is an asset
