The Impact You Will Have
The Manager, Procurement Solutions, will play a critical role in developing, managing and optimizing our customer-facing B2B procurement solutions. This individual will lead a team responsible for creating and delivering a compelling value proposition to customers, driving customer integration initiatives, and improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the customer procurement experience with Softchoice. The ideal candidate will possess strong people leadership, analytical, project management and customer relationship skills. They will be responsible for driving high quality value-driven procurement solutions and acting as a trusted advisor to our high-profile enterprise customers. The Manager, Procurement Solutions, will be a strategic thinker and proactive problem-solver, dedicated to delivering a high level of service to our customers and executing cross-functional procurement-related projects successfully. In addition to driving solutions, this role requires strong knowledge of and hands-on administration of procurement systems, including Coupa and Ariba.
What You'll Do
- Solution Development: Develop and articulate the solution offering and value proposition for customer-facing B2B procurement solutions, ensuring they meet the needs and expectations of customers and deliver a reliable and accurate procurement experience with Softchoice.
- Escalation, conflict management, and problem solving: Issues can arise in multiple places from product setup, portal administration, access and permissions, portal configuration, payload mapping (cXML), transaction processing, and failure to adhere to processes and training issues. As an expert in procurement processes you will lead cross-functional problem solving efforts and expedite solutioning and resolution of issues.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership to a team of direct report(s) including mentoring and developing team members and fostering an engaged culture. Manage and allocate resources effectively, ensuring the team is adequately resourced and equipped to meet project and customer demand.
- Customer Relationships and Solutions: Act as the main point of contact and trusted advisor to high profile Enterprise customers regarding B2B procurement. Drive solutions with customers through discovery calls and be available as a point of contact for issue resolution. Understand procurement processes from both buyer and supplier perspectives, ability to assess business needs and pain points, and guiding customers towards suitable procurement solutions.
- Customer Integration Growth: Drive an increase in the number of integrated customers and improve project turnaround time from intake to deployment, ensuring timely and effective integration projects for our customers. Demonstrate impact (e.g. productivity savings, FM Growth, customer retention etc.) through KPI tracking. Project Management: Oversee customer integration projects from planning to deployment, continuously improve processes to drive turnaround and enhance customer satisfaction.
- KPI Framework: Create and monitor a comprehensive KPI framework to measure the success and effectiveness of procurement solutions program, continuously monitor these metrics to drive continuous improvement. Keep accurate records of network invoices. Understand network and transaction costs. Provide insights on spend, cost to serve, and per-customer costs.
- Future State Road Map: Build a strategic roadmap for the future state of customer integration processes, using data and market analysis to size ROI and identify opportunities for enhancing customer value.
- Sales and Customer Enablement: Advise, strategize and educate the Sales team on procurement solutions, enhancing their awareness and understanding of the benefits to both Sales and Customers. Develop and maintain customer facing marketing and reference materials, such as API Catalogs, solution presentations and web marketing content to support and drive procurement solutions. Create and manage a document repository to maintain comprehensive records of customer integrations, ensuring easy access and reference to future projects.
What You'll Bring To The Table
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in supply chain management.
- 5+ years' experience in leading teams of direct reports, including performance management, mentoring and development
- Ability to work in a cross-functional environment with all levels of management, as well as external partners and senior/executive level leadership to drive alignment and consensus
- Ability to think strategically and proactively problem-solve with a strong focus on customer success and satisfaction
- Experience working directly with customers. Excellent communication skills, comfortable in interacting with high profile customers at all levels of seniority, understanding their unique needs and providing exceptional service and support.
- 5+ years' experience with procurement processes and solutions, with a solid understanding of the B2B procure-to-pay-cycle and common integration mechanisms.
- Must have hands-on experience managing procurement as either a buyer or supplier (or both) in Coupa or Ariba.
- Experience in driving business transformation and software development cycle (Requirements, design, build, QA, UAT, deploy)
- Must be familiar with a wide variety of integration document formats such as EDI, TXT, CSV, PDF, tab delimited, XML/cXML, and JSON.
- Must be familiar with common data integration protocols and terms such as AS2, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, TLS and SSL.
- Must be familiar with API calls, authentication methods, and testing tools such as Postman or be willing and capable to learn and apply these skills.
- Must be willing to work weekends, after hours, and holidays on an occasional basis to support urgent issues, deployments, or similar time critical concerns.
