We are currently seeking an experienced Full-Time Bartender to join our team at La Vecchia Thornhill. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a passionate, professional, and guest-focused opening team that delivers an elevated bar experience rooted in Italian tradition.

Position Overview

The Bartender at La Vecchia Ristorante is responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience through professionalism, knowledge, and genuine hospitality. You will prepare craft cocktails, serve premium wines and spirits, and maintain the elegance and efficiency of our bar program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, and spirits according to La Vecchia standards
  • Deliver warm, professional, and engaging guest service at the bar and in the dining room
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the cocktail and wine program in collaboration with the Bar Manager
  • Ensure compliance with Smart Serve and all alcohol service regulations
  • Support the front-of-house team during peak service periods
  • Contribute to a positive and professional team environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a full-service or fine dining environment
  • Strong cocktail knowledge and passion for mixology
  • Italian wine and liqueur knowledge is a strong asset
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and guest engagement skills
  • Smart Serve certification required
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
