To facilitate our growth, we are currently seeking either a part-time or full-time pre-press operator / graphic designer, who is looking for an exciting opportunity to be a business builder.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, highly organized, self-motivated team player who can work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, that demands quality in his or her work.
A professional demeanor, a positive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential to create the kind of well-oiled teamwork we are building here at Influence.
Responsibilities
- Designing and preparing digital layouts, artworks, images & text for print
- Working with the sales team to create mockups for potential clients
- Operating our large-format printer, vinyl plotter, rollover flexi laminator machines, as well as some light sign production table work, such as weeding vinyl.
- Develop detailed sign permit elevation drawings with all proposed signs notated, including text, colour, dimensions and electrical detail.
- Ongoing maintenance and upkeep on the equipment mentioned above
Qualifications & Skills
- Min 1 year experience working in a sign or print shop.
- Working knowledge of the common sign industry products, materials and substrates
- Demonstrate creative, technical and analytical skill with a keen eye for detail
- Proficient using Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign
- Strong grasp on color theory and design fundamentals
- Creative with a high attention for details.
- Manage multiple work priorities, demands and changes to deadlines
- Ability to communicate professionally in the business environment
- Able to operate independently and as a member of our team
- Motivated to continuous learning and personal development
- Able to work in a Windows environment
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
