Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and culinary skills, ensuring that our children receive nutritious and delicious meals. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks for children, adhering to dietary guidelines.
  • Plan menus that cater to the nutritional needs of children, considering allergies and dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, following food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure a positive dining experience for all children.
  • Assist in meal preparation, including cooking, food handling, and serving.
  • Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Implement proper food safety practices during all stages of food preparation and service.
  • Engage with children during meal times to promote healthy eating habits.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
  • Background in menu planning, fine dining, or restaurant experience is a plus.
  • Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques and knife skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment.
  • Previous experience in catering or food service is beneficial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
