Huawei Canada has an immediate 12-month internship opening for an Associate Researcher.


About the Team:

Founded in 2012, the Noah's Ark lab has evolved into a prominent research organization with notable achievements in academia and industry. The lab's mission focuses on advancing artificial intelligence and related fields to benefit the company and society. Driven by impactful, long-term projects, the aim is to enhance state-of-the-art research while integrating innovations into the company's products and services, including LLMs, RL, NLP, computer vision, AI theory and Autonomous driving.

About the Job:

  • Design state-of-the-art AI solutions and machine learning algorithms.

  • Evaluate solutions with common benchmarking suites and with internal simulation environments & data set.

Job requirements

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • PhD/Master in computer science or related fields with a focus on computer vision and machine learning.

  • Papers at relevant conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, IJCAI, etc.

  • In-depth hands-on experience in Python, C/C++, TensorFlow, PyTorch etc. and a track record of translating ideas into research prototypes quickly.

  • Experience building large scale machine learning solutions for video content understanding/search/classification, or gesture recognition systems is an asset.
