Job Overview

We are an established sandblasting and painting company specializing in industrial and heavy equipment surface preparation and coatings. Our team is committed to quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction. We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our maintenance team and help keep our fleet and equipment operating at peak performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles and machinery (compressors, forklifts, blasting and painting equipment, etc.).
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with equipment modifications and fabrication as required.
  • Work collaboratively with shop and field crews to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience with proven success as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.
  • Experience working in an industrial, fabrication, or coating environment an asset.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License (Class 1 or 3 an asset).
  • Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
  • Self-motivated with results driven approach.
  • Problem solving ability and willingness to ask questions to clarify expectations.
