The OpportunityWe are seeking a senior leader to take ownership of an entire business unit within the firm, with a particular focus on valuations. This is a rare opportunity to lead a growing practice, shape strategy, and directly influence client outcomes while working alongside a highly respected team of senior professionals.
As the Business Unit Leader, you will oversee client delivery, business development, team leadership, and P&L management for your practice area. You will be entrusted to expand the unit's market presence, develop service offerings, and mentor top talent.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership – Set and execute the business unit's strategic direction in alignment with firm-wide goals.
Practice Management – Lead, grow, and manage all aspects of the business unit, including P&L responsibility.
Client Engagement – Act as the senior point of contact for high-profile clients, delivering exceptional advisory services in valuations and related areas.
Business Development – Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, industry partners, and prospective clients to expand the unit's reach.
Talent Development – Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier professionals within the team.
Thought Leadership – Represent TDB Advisory at industry events, contribute to publications, and position the firm as a leader in valuations and advisory.
10+ years of progressive experience in valuations, corporate finance, or related financial advisory services.
Proven business unit or practice leadership experience, ideally in a mid-market or entrepreneurial professional services environment.
Strong business development track record with the ability to attract and retain clients.
Professional designation such as LIT, CBV, CPA, CFA, or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at the executive and board levels.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work autonomously and drive results without bureaucracy.
Lead your own business unit with full autonomy and resources to succeed.
Collaborate with a high-calibre team in an entrepreneurial culture.
