We are seeking a RPN/RN for a maternity leave contract, 12 months (may be extened depending on circumstances), for the family medicine practices of Dr. John Peace, Dr. Michael Davison and Dr. Chandra Anokye at 2-65 Donly Dr. N. Simcoe, ON.

The office provides full family medicine care to patients ranging from newborns to the elderly. We use electronic medical records. Experience with electronic medical records, specifically Telus PSS, is an asset, but not required (training will be provided).

Part time, Monday 8:30 to 4:30, Thursday 8:30 to 4:30, and Friday 8:30 to noon. Additional clinic time may be required as requested though infrequent.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing patients for appointments in the exam room (i.e. vitals, brief history)
  • Injecting vaccines and other medications as needed
  • Ordering medical supplies for the office
  • Maintaining vaccine fridge and liaising with public health for vaccine orders
  • Assist with pap exams, chaperone sensitive examinations as requested and labeling and prepare samples for lab testing
  • Sanitizing exam room equipment after use
  • Labeling and preparing samples for lab testing
  • Notifying and communicating with patients for diagnostic appointments and messages relayed from physicians
  • Corresponding with physicians and other healthcare professionals as required for patient care as directed by the physicians
  • Occasional shared role, when required: greeting and processing incoming patients, answering phones, processing in-office patient cash/card transactions and general office tidiness.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
