Civil Litigation Paralegal

Lakes, Whyte LLP is a full-service law firm located on the North Shore since 1986. We offer a great working environment with good benefits.

We are currently looking for a paralegal to join and support our busy litigation team.

This role is to support a varied litigation practice, which will include estate, employment, business, commercial and real property disputes and construction law. The successful applicant will be joining a team of experienced litigation paralegals able to support and mentor a move into a new area of law.

Salary is $65,000 - $80,000 based on experience.

Drafting letters, pleadings, applications and other court documents

Interacting professionally with other offices and the court, including setting trials and discoveries

Preparing, listing and organizing required documents

Conducting witness interviews

Administrative tasks including file organization, opening and closing files, maintaining a bring forward system, and preparation of invoices

Certificate or Paralegal Diploma

3 plus years experience as a litigation paralegal

Good understanding of law office policies and procedures

Excellent oral and written English

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, legal accounting software and litigation file management preferred
