Job Summary

The Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our shop and distribution center. This position is responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient delegation of tasks for mechanics , and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of staff management systems, downhole tool coordination and a commitment to process improvement.

Relief Dispatch consists of covering full time dispatcher's 6 days off with one day overlap. Be the front line looking after 30+ units/jobs per day. Consists of printing task reports/ driver tracking, tool inventory and billing. Both on highway and direct to rig experience.

Duties

  • Supervise daily shop hand, mechanic operations, including shipping and receiving activities, tool tracking,
  • Manage inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Oversee logistics operations, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage orders.
  • Train, mentor, and lead warehouse staff to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure compliance with OHS regulations and safety standards within the warehouse.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain safety protocols.
  • Handle materials handling tasks, including heavy lifting as required.
  • Collaborate with e-commerce teams to streamline order fulfillment processes.
  • Maintain accurate records in systems such as ROSE ROCKET for inventory management.
  • daily task assignment to all shop staff

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in shop management or as a shop supervisor.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and logistics operations.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation and materials handling equipment.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies in a warehouse setting.
  • Understanding of OHS regulations related to warehouse safety.
  • Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Experience working with directional downhole tools is beneficial.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • This position requires a proactive approach to managing operations while ensuring that all team members adhere to safety standards and operational procedures. The Operations Supervisor will play an integral role in driving the success of our distribution efforts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
