Rocky Mountain House AB, Canada Evergreen Co-operative Association Full time $40,000 - $60,000 per year

Responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service with a positive, professional approach and attitude
  • Being dependable for scheduled shifts
  • Maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly location at all times
  • Operating and maintaining all equipment and tools in a safe and reasonable manner
  • Adhering to all Evergreen Co-op policies and procedures and following all OH&S regulations
  • Delivering product in a timely manner, ensuring loads are correct and delivered on time
  • Receiving merchandise as directed by the Lumber Manager
  • Providing information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet the needs, requirements and expectations of the consumer
  • Ensuring employees maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment where employee's wellbeing is paramount
  • Supervising staff to ensure they adhere to staff appearance, housekeeping, loss prevention, and customer service standards
  • Communicating effectively with the Lumber Manager on any issues that may arise

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Organizational skills and great time management
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment
  • Class 3 license would be an asset
  • Picker/forklift training would be an asset
  • Previous retail and lumber experience would be an asset
  • Working knowledge of hardware, home centre, products, and building supplies is essential
  • Ability to handle multiple demands at once while providing excellent customer service
  • Commitment to Co-op's values and principles
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Previous supervisory experience
