Our client is seeking an experienced
Senior Mechanical Engineer

You've built your career solving complex mechanical challenges, delivering high-quality designs, and ensuring that every project meets the highest standards—especially in critical environments like healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
- Review, seal, and oversee mechanical projects of varying scope and complexity
- Lead design strategies, concepts, and technical direction on major projects
- Conduct audits, feasibility assessments, and investigations; prepare detailed reports
- Perform site visits, reviews, and provide construction-phase services
- Support the development and enhancement of mechanical design standards and practices
- Mentor and guide intermediate and junior engineers and designers
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in Ontario
- 10+ years
of design experience in the building construction industry (minimum
5 years in Canada
) - Proven experience in
healthcare facilities design - Strong knowledge of
central plant systems
including hot water, steam, and chilled water systems - Proficiency with
DDC control systems
, including writing sequences of operation and troubleshooting - In-depth understanding of
applicable codes and standards
, including
CSA Z317 - Broad design exposure across sectors such as commercial, industrial, educational, residential, or government
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
- Demonstrated sound judgment, collaboration, and leadership skills
