Casual Part-time Housekeeper

As a housekeeper (minimum 9 hours per week) you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing resident suites and common areas.

This is a contract position.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to;

-Washing floors

-Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms

-Dusting

-Vacuuming

-Picking up garbage and recycle

-Washing windows

-Maintaining main floor areas

-Preparing housekeeping cart for next shift

-Working with cleaning chemicals

-Other duties as assigned

Must be able to:

-Stand for long periods of time including bending and lifting up to 50 lbs

-Wear surgical mask for the duration of all your scheduled shifts, when required

-Good written and oral communications skills

-Ability to work independently and as a part of the housekeeping team

  • Positive attitude and be service-oriented

  • Follow instructions following close attention to detail on how to use cleaning supplies properly and how to clean properly

  • Must be able to get Police Clearance for Vulnerable Sector and 2 step TB Test

  • Prefer at least 1 year of experience but willing to train the right candidate

  • Previous WHMIS training is an asset

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.90 per hour
