Job Summary

The Order Picker is responsible for picking orders for customers and branches.

Essential Job Functions *

  • Pick customer order from stock locations utilizing an RF scanner.
  • Assembles orders at the expected order fill rate.
  • Completes orders with weight and number of cartons and drops skids by the shipping area.
  • Double checks materials for specified customers to minimize errors.
  • Conducts stock checks.
  • Fills in for other warehouse staff to reduce workload or meet the deadlines of the department.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Support and follow internal health and safety programs and protocols.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education & Experience

  • Secondary diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 0-3 years' experience working in a distribution center or equivalent is an asset.

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Manager System (Manhattan) including being proficient with RF scanners and equipment is an asset.
  • Communication skills – written, verbal and ability to read and understand internal documents.

Strong attention to detail.Reliable and dependable team player.Ability to lift 35 lbs. frequently up to 70 lbs. infrequently.
