Notre équipe Finance composée d'un·e Directeur·rice financier·ère, d'un·e Spécialiste des comptes clients, d'un·e Spécialiste des comptes fournisseurs et d'un·e Contrôleur·se recherche un·e deuxième Contrôleur·se pour compléter l'équipe.
Dans ce rôle, vous serez en charge de:
- Participer au processus de clôture mensuelle: mise à jour des cédules de suivi, préparation et comptabilisation des écritures de journal, préparation de rapports financiers
- Participer au processus budgétaire et maintenir des modèles de projections financières
- Réaliser des analyses mensuelles, trimestrielles et annuelles pour interpréter les résultats et les éléments du bilan, afin d'expliquer les écarts par rapport à la période précédente et au budget
- Soutenir, coacher et superviser le personnel chargé des comptes payables et des comptes recevables
- Participer à l'organisation et à la préparation des audits annuels
- Superviser la production de toutes les déclarations fiscales (canadiennes, américaines et européennes) et s'assurer qu'elles sont préparées dans les temps
- Soutenir les contrôles financiers internes et évaluer les politiques et procédures établies
- Prendre part activement à l'amélioration de processus, de documentation et à l'implantation de nouvelles solutions technologiques
- Prendre part à des projets spéciaux tels que: demandes de subventions, implantation de nouvelles applications de gestion comptable, préparation de rapports, audits, etc.
Exigences du poste
- Titre CPA (obtenu ou en cours d'obtention)
- 5+ ans d'expérience pertinente en comptabilité (en cabinet et/ou en entreprise)
- Maîtrise d'Excel
- Sens des responsabilités, excellente gestion des priorités et capacité à gérer des échéanciers
- Souci de la précision, excellente capacité d'analyse et de synthèse
- Capacité à remettre les processus en question, recherche et propositions de solutions efficaces.
- Excellente capacité à travailler en équipe

About the role

Do you have a strong risk assessment perspective and are able to consistently, and confidently balance growth and risk? Are you a strategic thinker, able to translate our company's vision into a long-term financial strategy? Our Finance Team (a Finance Director, an Accounts Receivable Specialist, an Accounts Payable Specialist, and a Controller) is looking for a second Controller to complete the team.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Participate in the month end closing process: updating tracking schedules, preparing and recording journal entries, preparing financial reports
- Participate in the budgeting process and maintain financial projection models
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual analyses to interpret results and balance sheet items, explaining variances from the previous period and the budget
- Support, coach, and supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable staff
- Participate in the organization and preparation of annual audits
- Supervise the production of all tax returns (Canadian, American, and European) and ensure they are prepared on time
- Support internal financial controls and evaluate established policies and procedures
- Actively participate in process improvement, documentation, and the implementation of new technological solutions
- Take part in special projects such as: grant applications, implementation of new accounting management applications, report preparation, audits, etc.

Requirements
- CPA designation (or in progress)
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience (in public practice and/or industry)
- Proficiency in Excel
- Sense of responsibility, excellent prioritization skills, and ability to manage deadlines
- Attention to detail, excellent analytical and synthesis skills
- Ability to question processes, research, and propose effective solutions
- Excellent ability to work in a team
