Key Responsibilities- Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met for all clients.
- Prepare concept designs, load calculations, schematics, equipment selection, and system concept reports.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants/architects.
- Prepare contract documents, including specifications.
- Conduct site visits during construction and collaborate with field review teams.
- Ensure ASHRAE compliance and LEED standards where applicable.
- Update project schedules regularly and provide status reports to the Project Manager.
- Evaluate shop drawings and escalate resource issues as required.
- Assist in sourcing new work and maintaining existing client relationships.
- Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (e.g., Building Systems).
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation.
- 5+ years of engineering and/or design coordination experience in consulting.
- Experience in multi-discipline project coordination and management.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is an asset.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, project management practices, and Canadian/American standards.
- Experience conducting site visits is an asset.
- Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to non-engineers and executives.
- Excellent time management, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong independent judgment, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures effectively.
- Salary range: $105,000 – $135,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
