Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and assistance. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care while fostering a safe and supportive environment.
Duties
As a Health Care Aide, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Providing meal preparation and ensuring proper nutrition for clients.
- Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring clients for any changes in condition.
- Offering companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Performing light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Assisting with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Supporting individuals with disabilities and those experiencing dementia or hospice care needs.
- Documenting patient care activities accurately and reporting any concerns to nursing staff.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of caregiving practices, including dementia care and hospice care principles.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and provide compassionate support.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and their families.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility needs.
- Basic cleaning skills to ensure a hygienic environment for clients.
