Island Window Coverings, located Victoria, BC, is seeking a full-time window covering Installation Manager for blinds, draperies, shades, shutters and motorized window coverings. The primary responsibility of this position will be managing all installers employed by Island Window Coverings and scheduling all installations directly with customers. Additionally, this position will require some on site installations of window treatments as well as managing all repairs required for product installations and liaising with the sales team and suppliers as needed.

Individual must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized and committed to very high results. Individual must be comfortable in a collaborative and fast paced environment and be able to problem solve quickly in order to complete jobs without compromising quality. Time management and punctuality are also very important to this position.

Previous window covering installation experience, knowledge of window treatments including motorized products is an asset. Willing to train the right candidate with the right finishing, maintenance and/or carpentry experience.

Responsibilities for this role include:

· Scheduling installations with clients.

· Managing team of installers, including scheduling, site prep, and follow up.

· Ensuring warehouse is managed and organized and all products are maintained and organized for delivery to sites.

· Liaising with sales staff and suppliers to manage all customer repairs of products and follow up as needed

· Delivering and installing manual and motorized blinds and drapes to project sites.

· Preparing work site for installation, including setting up and removing scaffolding.

· Installing blinds and draperies and assembling rods.

· Managing installation on site and ensuring installation schedules are adhered to and met.

· Connecting motorized products on site and programming to client's smart home system.

· Communicating any installation or product issues to the office within 24 hours of the issue arising.

· Communicating with building trades, general contractors, project managers, electricians, and designers.

· Checking measures for sales staff.

· Creating templates, sketches/drawings of pockets, and measurements of windows for draperies and blinds and any other details related to the installation process.

· Attending product training as necessary

The position is immediate and fulltime.

Wage based on candidate. Must have valid drivers license. Relocation package can be considered for the right candidate.

Our projects range from property management and single family residential, to multi-unit and institutional projects.
