Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.

Duties

  • Assist in managing store operations, including inventory control, merchandising, and sales management.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate bookkeeping practices.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in the recruiting process to build a strong team.
  • Implement marketing strategies to enhance store visibility and drive sales.
  • Manage payroll processes and assist with budgeting to maintain financial health.
  • Utilize POS systems for transactions, pricing, and inventory management.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and team management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while maintaining high standards of store presentation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to enhance customer interactions.
  • Proficient in cash handling, payroll processes, and administrative tasks.
  • Experience with merchandising, purchasing, and pricing strategies.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with retail sales techniques and customer service best practices.
