Dog Daycare Attendant (Part Time Morning Shift)

Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 10:00am

Optional weekend hours available

Overview

Aunt Lucy's Doggy Daycare and Pet Hotel is looking to welcome two early-rising, dog-loving humans to our morning team. This role is all about shaping a safe, upbeat, and engaging start to the day for the dogs in our care. If you thrive in a lively environment and find joy in creating positive experiences for both pups and their owners, you'll feel right at home here.

Duties

  • Supervise and engage with dogs during morning play, keeping energy balanced and interactions safe.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, including indoor and outdoor play areas.
  • Provide fresh water, feed when required, and administer medications as directed.
  • Observe dog behaviour, stepping in when needed to prevent conflicts or overstimulation.
  • Communicate clearly with owners about behaviour, needs, or concerns.
  • Assist with lifting supplies and handling larger dogs when necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing training to strengthen handling, safety, and customer-care skills.

Skills & Qualities

  • Strong customer-service instincts when interacting with pet owners.
  • Comfortable with heavy lifting, maintaining safety for yourself and the animals.
  • Clear communication skills for relaying accurate information to the team and to owners.
  • A genuine love for animals and solid understanding of canine behaviour.
  • Collaborative mindset to support a smooth-running team.
  • High attention to detail for documenting information on each dog in our care.
