Job Description
RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Manager of Oncology Research, Centre for Innovative Medicine (CIM), the incumbent is responsible for supporting the successful conduct of the administrative operations of the centre.

General Duties

  • Manages the day-to-day scheduling of patient bookings/scheduling (MEDCT Clinic);
  • Scheduling of Evening and Overnight Nursing Coverage;
  • Maintain the TPO nursing Schedule and rooster;
  • Maintain a spreadsheet of MEDCT bookings, patients, Fellow Rotation;
  • Receives and screens telephone calls, takes messages, responds to inquiries for patient referrals;
  • Prioritizes incoming correspondence, communications, and scheduling requests;
  • Schedules all pre study visits between the sponsor and the site;
  • Receives and responds to emails;
  • Assists with the ordering and receiving of clinical supplies;
  • Composes types, translates and edits documents;
  • Organizes and coordinates meetings, takes, transcribes and distributes minutes with relevant documentation;
  • Performs other office duties as assigned;
  • Photocopies/scans documents, distributes and files accordingly.

Education / Experience

Education: Diploma of College Studies (DEC)

Work Experience: 2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.

  • Ability to take initiative, work under pressure, manage multiple projects and priorities;
  • Ability to pay attention to detail;
  • Ability to generate and maintain accurate records;
  • Ability to draft communications and correspondence in French and English;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in French and English;
  • Excellent knowledge of computer applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point;
  • Excellent organizational and ability to multi-task and prioritizing time-sensitive issues and completing tasks within short timelines on a regular basis;
  • Resourceful and responsible;
  • Team Player;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment;
  • Autonomous, flexible sense of ethics and good judgment.

Additional information

Status
: Temporary Full-time (35 hours/week)

Pay Scale
: $41, $62,353.20

Commensurate with education & work experience.

Work Shift
: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm

Work Site
