Junior Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Bookkeeper to join our team in Prince George, BC. This role is ideal for someone with foundational bookkeeping experience who is eager to grow their skills in a supportive and professional environment.
As a Junior Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization's financial health. You'll be responsible for managing accounts receivable, processing payroll, performing reconciliations, and assisting with budgeting and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections
- Process payroll accurately and maintain employee records
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Use accounting software (QBO, Sage, or Xero) for daily bookkeeping tasks
- Track expenses and revenues to support budgeting processes
- Prepare financial reports for management review
- Maintain organized financial documentation for audits
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of bookkeeping experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in accounting software (QBO, Xero, Sage preferred)
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
- Certificate in Accounting or Finance preferred (experience may substitute)

- Ability to Commute/Relocate: Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Prince George, BC before starting work
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
