Tandoori chef Job Description
Tandoori Chef : Masters the art of Indian cuisine, specializing in tandoori dishes. Responsible for preparing and cooking meals, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring quality control. Tasks include marinating, grilling, and presenting dishes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook tandoori dishes according to recipes and standards
- Minimum 4-5 years on Tandoor cooking working knowledge.
- Ensure the quality and presentation of food meets the restaurant's standards
- Inspect food supplies and equipment to ensure they are of high quality and in good condition
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, including the proper storage of food and equipment
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to plan menus and specials
- Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Tandoori Chef or similar role in an Indian restaurant
- In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine and Tandoori cooking techniques
- Ability to prepare a wide variety of Tandoori dishes, including meats, seafood, and vegetables
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
