Course Number and Title: CDN268H1S – Canada and Globalization
Course Description: Students examine the impact of contemporary globalization on Canada, and for Canadas place in the world. The course is interdisciplinary in its approach and addresses globalization from a wide range of perspectives, including mobility, trade, urbanization, health, religion, environmental change, technology, communications, and the arts.
Estimated Course Enrolment: 105 students
Estimated TA Support: 1 position (90 hours – subject to final course enrolment)
Class Schedule: Wednesdays, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm**

Minimum Qualifications: A Master's degree required in Social Sciences or Humanities.
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. preferred in any cognate field in the Social Sciences or Humanities. Relevant background in the study of globalization and Canada is required. Demonstrated evidence of excellence undergraduate teaching is preferred. Previous experience in teaching a similar course is preferred.
Description of Duties: Normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours. Supervising the TA (if applicable), preparing and supervising tests and exams.
