Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Social Media & Content Designer located in Durham Region, ON. As our
Social Media & Content Designer
, you'll help shape the visual voice of DEAL Business Design and our clients.

You'll create high-quality social media content, videos, and graphics that tell stories, strengthen brands, and engage audiences. This role is ideal for someone who's both creative and strategic — who loves the art of design but also understands the purpose behind it.

Qualifications

In this role, you will be the driving creative force behind our clients' short-form content across multiple platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).

• Content Design:
  Design and iterate engaging static graphics, carousels, and presentation materials, ensuring all output is high-quality, on-brand, and mobile-optimized.
• Video Production:
  Lead the efficient editing and production of short-form vertical video content (Reels, TikToks) using tools like
  CapCut
  or similar platforms.
• AI Integration:
  Actively experiment with and integrate
  AI tools
  (e.g., Midjourney, ChatGPT, etc.) into the content creation workflow to maximize speed and explore innovative content ideas.
• Creative Strategy:
  Collaborate directly with the Founder on content calendars, visual themes, and brainstorming sessions for clients across various industries.
• Performance Review:
  Learn to track key content performance metrics (engagement, conversion) and apply these insights to future design decisions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Portfolio:
  A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing clean design aesthetics, video editing capabilities, and a fundamental understanding of social media content trends.
• Tool Proficiency:
  High proficiency in
  Canva
  for rapid graphic design and strong experience with mobile video editing platforms (
  CapCut
  or equivalent).
• Mindset:
  A clear curiosity and enthusiasm for applying design thinking to business problems, not just aesthetics.
• Adaptability:
  Proven ability to manage creative tasks for multiple client brands with varying guidelines and audiences.

The Growth Path to Business Designer

The ultimate goal for this position is conversion to a
Full-Time Business Designer
within 6 months. This transition includes:

• Strategic Training:
  Personal mentorship from Gizem covering business models, brand positioning, market analysis, and the commercial drivers of design decisions.
• Client Ownership:
  Gradually taking ownership of client strategy, creative brief development, and direct communication.
• Increased Scope:
  Moving beyond execution to define the

  and
  why
  of the creative output.
