Root Sculptor

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Root Sculptor at Southmedic Inc., located in Barrie, ON. The Root Sculptor will focus on creating and refining physical models through clay modeling techniques, contributing to the product design and development process. Day-to-day tasks include carving, sculpting, and collaborating with industrial design teams to create accurate prototypes and product renderings. The role involves combining artistic skills with industrial design expertise to support the production of medical-grade products.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Clay Modelling and Carving techniques
• Background in Industrial Design and Product Design
• Strong Artistic and Creative skills
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary design and manufacturing team
• Experience in a manufacturing or product development environment (preferred)
• Familiarity with medical devices or similar industries is an asset
