Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and efficient Event Equipment Handler with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for the events industry. This role involves the careful handling, transportation, setup, and takedown of our luxury event furniture and rental inventory. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining high standards of quality and presentation, ensuring all items are properly prepared before each event and returned in excellent condition afterward.

Candidates must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and may be required to work after hours, depending on event schedules. Responsibilities will include both pre- and post-event tasks to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Safely operating 3-ton and 5-ton Hino trucks to deliver furniture and event equipment
  • Loading, unloading, packing, and unpacking furniture with care using proper techniques and equipment
  • Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; reporting any maintenance concerns
  • Providing exceptional customer service, representing Special Event Rentals with professionalism
  • Collaborating with warehouse and dispatch teams to coordinate schedules and resolve delivery issues.
  • Adhering to all company safety protocols and Alberta transportation regulations

What You Need:

  • Class 5 Non-GDL (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean commercial driving abstract
  • Minimum 2 years' professional experience driving 3-ton and 5-ton Hino trucks
  • At least 2 years' hands-on experience handling furniture: moving, packing, loading, unloading, assembling, and disassembling
  • Strong physical fitness and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and maneuver bulky items
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to work under tight delivery schedules
  • Exceptional customer-service orientation with clear communication skills
  • Familiarity with basic hand and power tools used in furniture assembly
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends Ability to pass a pre-employment safety assessment and criminal background check
