Design Strategy Intern

Job Description:

Winter & Summer 2026: January - August 2026

This role reports to the Director, Value Proposition Design. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the needs of the team, including helping in the development of new value propositions and program management.

What will you do?

• Assist with research related to value proposition development, including competitive intelligence on related companies, experiences and/or products
• Analyze the competitive landscape and existing product offerings related to Sun Life programs
• Contribute to UX communications (Client/participant facing) for new and existing programs
• Support content creation and refinement of design materials, including program interaction models, presentations, leadership updates and workshop slides, among other tasks
• Assist with on-going program management including maintaining documents, tracking deadlines, creating meeting agendas and taking meeting minutes for in-flight work
• Contribute to ideation and brainstorming sessions for new design concepts
• Help to document design guidelines and processes
• Support design workshops by contributing to agenda development, slide creation and facilitation

What do you need to succeed?

• University degree in Business, Design/XD/UX, or other business-related discipline.
• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Strong research, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
• An agile mindset, with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
• A passion for putting Clients at the centre

Preferred skills:

• Familiarity with design principles and client-driven work
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organization skills
• Ability to work independently on assignments in an agile environment

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.
